Nick’s Kids’ Corner
Living well is for kids, too, and it’s important!
Children who follow a nutritious, well balanced diet will have less chance to fall prey to infections, food poisoning, and will absorb many more of the important nutrients that help them grow and mature into healthy adults.
While the effects of a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, the right fats and probiotics are immediate, there are also many significant long-term benefits for children. Such benefits include immune systems which are not dependant on antibiotics, stronger bones, better digestive systems, and they’ll be more likely to make healthier choices for the rest of their lives– which may be the greatest benefit of all.
As parents, we need to make sure that we give our children the tools they need to live healthy lifestyles. Teaching a child to cook for themselves and others, or how to enjoy a healthy snack is a wonderful gift… and perhaps we, as adults, can learn something along the way too!
So how do I get started and what should I do each day?
Let Food be thy Medicine, and Medicine be thy Food - Hippocrates
Just like you need the right tools to build a secure house, the right foods can build a strong healthy body. It’s also easier for your body to function properly and fight diseases naturally. The power foods we recommend will help your body digest and absorb minerals, vitamins, increase good bacteria and remove yeast, parasites and other impurities. Start with coconut oil, x-factor butter and bone broths, a dynamite trio that have amazing healing properties.
Jane Casey and Julie Graber recommend that each day your child consume the following:
- 1/2 to 1 oz Kombucha Gold Essence
- 1 ml Blue Ice Gold Therapeutics (Natural High Vitamin X-Factor butter and Cod Liver Oil Blend)
- 1-3 tablespoons of Coconut oil
- Bone broth, 1 cup per day
